Through its networking activities, the project aims to support and advance the industrial and economic development of the aerospace sector in Lusatia. In particular, the planned measures – such as participation in international trade fairs, inviting representatives of international aerospace companies to in-person events in Lusatia, and providing information on Lusatian manufacturers and service providers in the aerospace sector as well as on research into aerospace applications conducted in Lusatia, are all designed to increase the export share and enhance Lusatia’s appeal as an aerospace hub. The aim is to encourage international and national aerospace companies to establish themselves and set up new businesses in the Brandenburg Lusatia region.
The STARK network project ‘Lausitz Aerospace Berlin-Brandenburg’ (LABB) is funded in accordance with the BMWE’s Funding Guidelines for Strengthening the Dynamics of Transformation and Renewal in Mining Regions and at Coal-Fired Power Station Sites (STARK) of 16 July 2020, as amended on 13 August 2024, under Chapter 0910, Title 683 05 of the Federal Budget.
