The Berlin-Brandenburg capital region is a major hub for the aerospace sector, where businesses, research organisations and universities work closely together. The Berlin-Brandenburg Aerospace Alliance (BBAA) brings together over 90 stakeholders and strengthens the sector’s international competitiveness.

The Space Berlin International project aims to raise the region’s international profile and foster new partnerships. To this end, it organises delegation visits, trade fair appearances and networking events to initiate collaborations and tap into new markets.

A key focus is on international delegation trips, for example to Bangalore (India), a major space industry hub, and to Poland, with a focus on technological cooperation. In addition, the region showcases itself at key industry trade fairs such as the ILA Berlin Air Show and the SpaceTech Expo in the USA.

Overall, the project strengthens the international networking of the space industry and positions the capital region as an innovative space industry hub.
