The conference addresses the challenges of space production, focusing on resource efficiency. It aims to enhance satellite production on Earth, manufacturing in orbit, and in-situ resource utilization on the Moon. Through talks, workshops, and networking, topics such as additive manufacturing, Factory 4.0, digital twins, on-demand production, lightweight manufacturing, and new materials with limited resources will be discussed. The event encourages collaboration among industry players, startups, and academic experts, and is organized in cooperation with Prof. Enrico Stoll's Chair of Space Technology at TU Berlin.

Two exciting opportunities related to the upcoming Space Tech Expo 2024 in Bremen

Dear Aeronautics and Space Community,

I would like to take the chance to inform you about two exciting opportunities related to the upcoming Space Tech Expo 2024 in Bremen.

1. EEN and Fraunhofer Warm-Up-Event | 18.11.2024  --> Your chance to present yourself!

Space Tech Expo Europe is approaching and with it our “warm-up-event”, which we have been organizing together with Fraunhofer Aviation & Space for the past two years. This year we will continue our tradition, but with a change of format. The event will take place on Monday, November 18, 2024, 4 p.m.-8 p.m., one day before the opening of STE in Bremen. More information will follow in due time.

We have now started our search for Startups/Scaleups that would like to take an active role in this event.

  • Use of AI on Small Scale Satellites: Sought are Startups/Scaleups that use AI chips in orbit. Fraunhofer Aviation and Space is seeking cooperation partners for a joint project and wants to have an exchange with interested startups during the event.

  • In general: Startups/Scaleups that want to present themselves. 3-5 will be able to pitch to the audience. 20 can present themselves in the context of a marketplace / poster session.

2. COOPERANTS Service Competition

Exciting news! You're invited to participate in the COOPERANTS Service Competition and showcase your digital solutions for the aeronautics and space sector.
What's in it for you? Gain insights from top OEMs and LSIs (Large System Integrators), present your concept at Space Tech Expo. Pitch your value proposition to a broad customer base, receive feedback, gain insights from top OEMs and SMEs, and receive a certificate confirming the added value of your service offering.
Who are we? COOPERANTS - a Gaia-X lighthouse project - aims at solving urgent problems of digital collaboration in aerospace engineering by creating a common data space. Our marketplace is the heart of this initiative, where services and data converge to optimize collaboration along the value chain.
What's the competition about? This is your chance to present your innovative digital solutions in aeronautics and space and receive support in onboarding your products onto the COOPERANTS platform. Be part of the journey where you share expertise and showcase innovation. With support from industry and research partners, you can network with major players like Airbus and OHB.
💡Hint: Beyond obvious interfaces to "Industry 4.0," there are services from other sectors equally relevant to aerospace (concrete examples are available here). Don't miss out on this opportunity!
Competition procedure

  • First round: Submit short concept descriptions of your products by 15.09.2024.

  • Second round: Present your idea to a jury at the Space Tech Expo, with remote pitches permitted.

The exact requirements for the product sketch can be found here.
Requirements: If you have a service that could benefit the aerospace industry, we want to hear from you! Your concept should enhance the COOPERANTS marketplace.
Ready to be a pioneer in aerospace digitalization? We can't wait to see your innovative ideas!
